Ride Ends At Lake Harris Hideaway - Make Your Own Way Home
ABOUT
For my March ride we are going to return to some of the oldies-but-goodies-twisties. Once again we will start in Green Cove Springs, on the south side this time, as we begin our ride by heading south on 17. The first half of the ride will be Florida Straight, however, before long we will be leaning through the sweepers of 314a & 182nd St. Our lunch destination this month will be Lake Harris Hideaway on the bank of Lake Harris. The hideaway is a relaxing venue under the trees. The restaurant surrounds the boat docks and the occasional sea-plane stops in for lunch.

WHERE
We will be starting the ride at Cove Plaza in Green Cove Springs,
1415 S Orange Ave, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043. This is on the west side of 17, just a couple hundred yards south of the intersection of 17 & 16. Participants should arrive with enough gas for the 105 mile ride to the restaurant and early enough for the 9:30am departure.
RESTAURANT
We will be having lunch at Lake Harris Hideaway.

ROUTE
The ride consists of a single 105 mile run. So you may want to manage your coffee intake before the ride.
The first half will be Florida straight and relaxing, however, once we turn south on 314a things get a bit more fun and interesting. The sweeping turns of 314a and 182nd St have always been at the top of my list of favorite roads to ride in Florida. Things will slow down as we begin to enter the more congested city area for the last few miles.
