My dad loved to ride and rarely left home on his bike without me. At fourteen I got my endorsement and purchased my first motorcycle, a 250 Yamaha Virago. Growing up in Tennessee the mountains were always close and next curvy backroad was only a short straight stretch away. I moved to Florida for a job opportunity and started riding with Todd Sandlin. After attending a few club meetings and rides I joined BMWNEF and am looking forward to contributing to the club in any way I can.
Pedro joined BMWNEF in 2018 and attends monthly meetings with his wife, Petra, and twins boys, Andreas and Mateo. He rode his first motorcycle in 1980 and immediately fell in love with the sport. He hopes his sons, who take turns being passengers, also inherit the passion. Pedro was part of the Food Committee during the 2018 and 2019 Winter Rallies and is looking forward to participating in other club events. He has lived in various states (California, Colorado, and Minnesota) before moving to Florida in 2014. Although the year-round riding in Florida is nice, he misses riding the curvy backroads.

I’ve been a club member since 2002 and a rider since 1964. A job transfer brought Jeanette and I moved to FL in 1997. Our involvement started with the Winter Rally. We were asked to volunteer. That really was a fun experience and one that we continue today.
Now retired, I’m able to ride a bit more. I’ve always liked travel by motorcycle and I have covered over 300k on BMW’s on our fine Interstate system. I thought I was fairly experienced and competent till I started riding with this group. My eyes have been opened to the vast world of BMW and I thank you all for that realization.
The club is ever changing, like most things. With a large club, there are always challenges and opportunities. I believe everything we do should be about motorcycles or motorcycle people. All members need to support the Winter Rally and our local dealer.
