Penguin Ride January 1, 2020
We had 47 participants sign up, 24 Riders with 2 passengers on the ride to Martins and more bikes and 4-wheeler's showed up at the restaurant. Bill Botkin led the first group of riders, these riders took on the challenge of the old brick road. The next group left a few minutes later lead by myself. The last group of riders lead by Phil Mule left Orangedale.
The weather at Flagler Beach was sunny and cool with a light breeze, straight out of the tourist brochures. Martins restaurant was ready for us, with a special menu of their most popular items. The food was delicious, with many who rode enjoying the fresh, hot coffee. I didn’t hear any complaints, which is saying a lot since we had an estimated 75 in attendance. Martins staff took good care of us with great service, which was the perfect complement to the great food.
Thanks to all who came out to enjoy the great dinner, and special thanks to Martins for opening up for us on this holiday.
