2004 Winter Rally

Another record setting Winter Rally! Over 200 pre-registered entries and fine Friday weather pretty much guaranteed a large turnout for this year's Winter Rally. Oh yeah. We served 304 dinners Friday and topped out at 345 Saturday.

We try to improve the rally experience each year with new offerings. This year, with an assist from Camp Blanding, we were able to offer breakfast and lunch at very reasonable prices. Somehow, our crack kitchen staff managed to provide even bigger steaks for Saturday's feast. We also expanded our door prizes dramatically, literally offering thousands more in gifts and awards. Please support the terrific businesses that support us, they're listed below. What more can we do? Just wait until next year.

Friday is for setting up camp under the towering pines and a warm sunny sky.	The Friday evening meal, bratwurst and all the fixin's served by BMWNEF volunteers.

Saturday morning's rides (this is the street tour group) began with rider's meetings.	This year's GS ride was a real adventure, taking in some of north FL's wilder places.

Our vendor area featured BMW and Guzzi demos as well as clothing and accessories.	Dozens of door prizes (thousands of dollars worth!) were posted Saturday afternoon

The Winter Rally's signature event is Saturday's self grilled steak dinner.	Camp Blanding's Service Club provides a terrific facility for dining and socializing.

Hugo Scheure won over $500 in the 50/50 drawing benefiting Camp Blanding.	Dan Fogelberg won the long distance award for his 1100+ mile ride down from NJ.
